It is the season for yard sales, Farmer’s Markets, and Flea Markets and it’s a great way to spend a beautiful day. Kylie and I were in Brooklyn for a weekend and decided to take advantage of the Williamsburg Flea Market.
Venders gather between North 6th and North 7th Streets just south of East River State Park. There are booths of vintage clothing, antiques, handmade items and artsy decor and an air of festivity.
Yes, you can get better bargains in any other state, I’m sure, but the quantity and variety of quality goods make this a great place to shop for a unique gift,
that perfect piece that makes a room your own
or a one of a kind dress for a special night.
Then, there’s the food! Again, it’s not cheap, a lobster roll will set you back $16, but it’s fresh and stuffed with chunks of lobster.
Kylie and I made a great lunch of bean tacos, beautiful beets and green beans and delicious rosemary corn bread for about $20.00.
The Flea is in Williamsburg every Sunday thru November, and in Fort Green on Saturday. Check the website for details, and get out and enjoy.

I love this market-super high class and very good food!
