The food trucks of today are a far cry from hot dog and pretzel stands. They are gourmet, organic and have a large variety of food interests. At our recent weekend outing at the Frendly Gathering here in Vermont, there was just this variety.  Ali Babas from Burlington served up delicious falafels, gyros and curried vegetable pitas.

While family owned and operated Cresent Foods from Middlebury, VT focused on the benelovent burrito and thirst quenching teas and lemonades. I was addicted to the iced mate.  Both venders are traveling the festival circuit this summer and just got back from Bonnaroo so they were happy to be back home with friendly people!
