Gary’s been reading the book, The 4-hour Body by Timothy Ferriss. The New York Times bestseller is about life-style changes and weight loss. Seems to work for “A” types who love protein. Gary has lost 20 pounds so quickly it’s a bit weird. However, he doesn’t drink, he loves to work out and very obsessive. Basically, the diet has no dairy, fruit, starch or alcohol. Sounds fun, right? Instead you eat all the protein and veggies you want. 
He used to be a closet junk eater when he traveled. He’d have dinner at upscale chain restaurants and lunch at fast food places. Even though he thought he was making healthy food choices, he really wasn’t because everything was loaded with trans fats and carbs. Now he’s reading labels and having more salads. And since he has decided to eat right, it has force me to be a bit more creative with veggies. Plenty, by Yotam Ottolenghi is a beautifully photographed and written cookbook with lots of new twist on vegetarian recipes.
