Orecchiette al broccolli or Marina's grandma's recipe
500g of a pasta that we call "Orecchiette" which should be about a bit more than 1pound (I'm not so sure..I'm using an online conversion system..)
500g (1pound) of broccoli florets ("le cimette di broccoli" as we say:))
a couple of cloves of garlic
some pine nuts
4 tablespoons of olive oil
a half of a red pepper (1 if you prefer it really spicy)
grated Pecorino cheese or Parmigiano

1-Boil some salted water in a pot (don't use too much salt..the cheeses you'll add at the end are very salty!).
2-Wash the broccoli florets and break them in small pieces.
3-Once the water is ready throw in the broccoli...and then drain them (don't over-drain 'em and keep the water).
4-Throw in the pot the pasta, while it is cooking..put some oil in a skillet and stir fry the broccoli with the garlic cloves plus the chili and the pine nuts for a couple of minutes.
5-Drain the pasta and throw it in the skillet. Stir fry and mix everything.
6-When everything is ready..add oil, try to find the garlic cloves and serve with some Pecorino or Parmigiano!.

Buon appetito.:)
