Spanish Shrimp Tapas
  •  1 lb cleaned shrimp (16/20)
  • 6 large cloves garlic slivered
  • 8 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp red hot pepper flakes
  • 6 TBS olive oil
  • 2 TBS butter
  • splash sherry or white wine

 This is a fast and delicious dish.  If having a party it is best to cook right in front of your guests as it only takes a couple minutes if you prepare all the ingredients to be at hand.  Serve with rice.

  • Heat up frying pan
  • Add olive oil, pepper flakes, and 1/2 the thyme, and garlic for one minute
  • Add shrimp turn once when shrimp turns pink
  • Add white wine or sherry let alcohol burn off
  • Add butter til melts
  • Garnish with remaining thyme
