Burger the Classic

 Making the perfect burger is an important skill to have.  

  • 1 1/2 lbs.chopped meat best if atleast 18% fat (chuck)
  • salt and pepper
  • hamburger bun
  • lettuce
  • tomatoe
  • optional slice of cheese (cheddar, American, swiss, etc) 
  • ketchup about 1 TBS
  • Form a hamburger patty using 4-8 oz of beef
  • salt and pepper both sides
  • Place on a hot grill or hot frying pan
  • Cook 4 minutes each side for medium rare flipping once
  • Add cheese one minute before done and cover to melt for one minute
  •  Toast bun
  • Remove from grill and cover with aluminum foil 5-10 minutes
  • Place burger on bun
  • Add tomato and lettuce and ketchup
