Gary's Garbage Can Clam Bake
Serve hot with drawn butter with garlic and lots of napkins
Ingredients:
  • 6 whole lobsters
  • 4 dozen little neck clams
  • 6 whole potatoes
  • 6 onion
  • 6-8 carrots
  • 6-10 ears of corn
  • 6 Italian sausage
  • butter 
Directions:
  • dig a circular hole, 2 feet deep and 3 feet wide
  • place wood and start fire
  • layer stones in can
  • pour enough water to cover stones
  • divide seaweed into four parts and layer with first part
  •  layer corn layer part seaweed
  • layer veggie cheese cloth bags containing veggies and sausage and add seaweed
  • add lobsters, layer with seaweed
  • add clams in cheese cloth on top no seaweed
  • cover with lid and place on
  • place grate on hot wood
  • place covered can on grate and cook until all clams have opened-approximately 45 minutes depending on the fire
