Maryland Style Crab Cakes

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound of lump crab meat
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/8 pound of butter
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste 
Directions:
  • Dredge flour over the crab and stir gently
  • add cream and seasoning to the beaten egg
  • pour over crab and mix gently
  • melt butter in skillet
  • drop large spoonfuls of crab mixture to hot butter
  • brown on one side and gently turn to the other side until golden brown
