Peach Kuchen

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2TBS sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks cold unsalted butter diced
  • 1 TBS butter for greasing pan
  • 1 large can sliced peaches or can use 5 fresh large ripe peaches
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 TBS cinnamon
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup heavy cream 
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 425
  • Mix together by hand the flour, butter, sugar, salt, and baking powder to form a bowl (do not over kneed)
  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish
  • Press dough into baking dish
  • Place peaches over dough (if using fresh then peel and slice)
  • Sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar and 2 Tbs cinnamon over peaches
  • Place in oven for 15 minutes
  • Mix 2 egg yolks and 1 cup cream
  • Pour over peaches
  • Continue to bake an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown
  • Serve warm
