Corn Chowder

Ingredients:
  • 5 slices of bacon
  • 2 tbls butter, 1/12 cups of onions (chopped)
  • 2 packages of white sweet frozen corn (or 3 cups fresh in season
  • ) 2 large potatoes (washed, peeled and cut into 1/2 or so pieces
  • 1 large container of chicken stock
  • 2 tbls butter
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup of half and half
Directions:
  • Cook bacon and onions together until bacon is lightly browned and onions are transparent.
  • Add butter and melt-add flour and cook for 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Add chicken stock and potatoes and cook until them are just tender (about 15 minutes)
  • add half and half and corn 
  • salt and pepper to taste.
  • lower heat and stir
