Manasquan Layered Salad

 Bring this salad to a brunch party!

Ingredients:
  • 4/5 ozs fresh spinach
  • 1 head of iceberg or romain lettuce
  • 1 10oz package of small frozen peas
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup chopped red pepper
  • 1 chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10 strips of cooked, crisp and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayo, 1/2 tsp sugar
  •  1/2 tsp vinegar
Directions:
  • lay lettuce in the bottom of the deep bowl
  • then layer separatly, layer with onions, layer of peppers, layer of frozen peas, layer of cheddar cheese
  • finish with the mayo dressing
  • spreading it evenly over the top of the salad
  • Cover with foil and refrigerate
  • The next day, layer of bacon Do not toss. Serve in bowl as layered.
